Setting Browser Preferences in Internet Explorer (Windows)
  1. Open an Internet Explorer browser window.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click to highlight the Internet icon at the top of the window. Set the security slider for this zone to Medium. (If you don't see the slider, click on Default level to view it.)
  5. Click on the Advanced tab.
  6. Under Microsoft VM put a checkmark in the box beside Java console enabled, Java Logging enabled, and Select JIT compiler for virtual machine.
  7. Click on the Privacy tab.
  8. Use the privacy slider to set your browser to accept cookies on a limited basis (medium works, low accepts all cookies). You can also choose to edit a list of web sites from which you will accept cookies by clicking the Edit button in the lower right of the same window and enter "www.webct.pdx.edu".
  9. If you've made changes, click Apply.
  10. Click OK.

Close this window to return to the main menu.
